I go by the name of Howlin’ Mat – literally 1000s of gigs all over the world from the Sahara to the North Pole. I play Blues, Rockabilly, Americana and Country. Rocking slide guitar is my passion – think George Thorogood, Elmore James, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Peter Green to name a few. And I love Johnny Cash!!

I also play a mean cigar box guitar, so much so that I am one of the UK’s top cigar box guitar players and perform regularly at Cigar Box Guitar festivals in the UK and abroad.
