Harvest Special

Harvest Special (4%)

Brewed by Uley Brewery

Best Bitter Real Ale

Uley Brewery says:

A beer shaped by ritual and the turning of the seasons. Each year, Ken makes a pilgrimage to the hop fields of Herefordshire to choose fresh green hops by hand, and this year that hop is Godiva. Their journey home is urgent; by dawn they must be in the copper, alive with their fleeting freshness.
The brew begins quietly, like a Uley Bitter, until the moment the copper comes to the end of the boil and the fresh hops are cast in. The whole brewery then fills with a wild, fragrant haze and a once‑a‑year scent. With hops selected on the day, the beer’s character only reveals itself after open‑top fermentation and a week resting in cask. Since 1992, Harvest Special has been a dependable joy, a beer that captures a moment in time.
