Dogs are welcome here at The Red Lion, but please follow these simple rules for everyone’s comfort, as we want everyone to be comfortable in the pub.
The basics
- Dogs must be on a short lead at all times (extending leads locked short)
- Paws on the floor, never on furniture
- Out of the way of walkways / doorways
- Do not leave your dog unattended, or allow it to wander around the pub
- Please remember: not everyone enjoys being around dogs, however lovely your dog may be
Behaviour
- No jumping up at the bar, at staff, or at other customers
- Dogs must be calm and under control
- If your dog is upsetting others you may be asked to leave
Water bowls & treats
- Water bowls are available to borrow; please return them after use
- Do not leave bowls where they might be knocked over
Damage & accidents
- If your dog urinates, defecates, or damages furniture, you will be asked to leave immediately
- Please do not let your dog use the alleyway or front of the pub as a toilet
Dogs are not allowed in the Back Room (with the fireplace) at any time
