Frome Brewing Company says:

It all started with a teenager and a home brew kit in an airing cupboard. Inspired by frothy, hoppy, golden Czech beers, our hero started experimenting with hops, malts, flavours and methods. His friends loved the results and demand was up. Suddenly, the airing cupboard wasn’t big enough anymore...

Our hero begged and borrowed and eventually found a derelict pub in Frome with a tiny bit of brewing space. Sure it was tiny, but it was enough to take a hobby to a trade, creating beers that were a bit different. Beers delicately and skilfully brewed, with names and pump clips that brought a smile.
People started to take notice. Local estate agents even joked that this new brewpub was pushing up house prices. Suddenly, that derelict pub wasn’t big enough anymore...

Moving into shiny new premises meant the one-man band became the Frome Brewing Company. Still experimenting, still pouring heart and soul into every brew, our beers have blossomed into a diverse range. We bring exciting, punchy flavours from carefully chosen ingredients. Our growth is solely down to the success of our beers - if our customers aren't happy, neither are we.

Devils Backbone

Porter 4.6%

Brewed with Willamette hops, this porter has a smooth quality with an elderberry flavour that's a little spicy as things get colder out there.
