Lightfoot beer is named after the only other brewery in Masham, at the time, which Theakston took over in 1919. Lightfoot has always been a popular seasonal ale in fact so much so that in 2010 it became a permanent addition to their range and is now available all year round. A SIBA regional gold winner, this blonde ale is lightly hopped with the addition of our own local raw honey.
Pale straw colour. First Gold, Celeia, and Worcestershire Fuggles hops. Very refreshing stronger beer with a hint of citrus. This beer has been named after No:2857, GWR 2-8-0 Freight Locomotive. Built in 1918 and designed by George Jackson Churchward, Chief Mechanical Engineer of the Great Western Railway.
