Burns Night & Spoken Word Open Mic — Wed, 24 January 2024, 7:00 pm–11:00 pm

We have a resident Scotsman (he literally lives upstairs). And he’s a chef. So you can see where this is going … haggis, neeps & tatties.

The Herefordshire Piper, Simon Addison will be on hand from 7pm with his bagpipes to give the haggis its grand entrance, and we’ll be following that and the food with a spoken word / poetry open mic night from 8ish in honour of the great poet.

They don’t have to be your own work (although we’ll be thrilled if it is), and they don’t need to be Scottish either.

The perfect whisky to accompany food and poetry. This Robert Burns Single Malt from the Isle of Arran, via a wonderful recent addition to Evesham, @mtcask, in King Charles Court.

It’s delicious, but we’ll be holding it back until Wednesday night to make sure we’ve got plenty available.

More details to follow over the next few days…
