She Runs / She Jogs

Tuesday, 17 March 2026, 6:30 pm–7:30 pm Social @ The Red Lion

Join us for a fun, supportive, friendly run on Tuesday 17th March at 6:30pm from The Red Lion as part of West Mercia & Wychavon District Council’s ‘JogOn’ campaign, which aims to prevent harassment and abuse for female runners.

The JogOn campaign aims to support women running without the fear of harrassment, and as part of our support for the campaign we’re hitting the streets, then returning for some energy-boosting food (and a drink) afterwards.

60% of female runners experience some form of harrassment when they’re running (source: Runner’s World Magazine), which has led West Mercia Police to start a campaign called ‘Jog On‘. We’re supporting that in conjunction with our monthly ‘She Sings / She Writes’ all-female open mic.

The 17th March will also see us hosting our monthly ‘She Sings / She Writes’ all-female open mic, which starts at 8pm

“…female runners go through a complex checklist before they head out. How many minutes of daylight remain, how easy their keys are to reach in an emergency, who they should inform of their running route, whether it’s safe to wear headphones and whether they’ll get to the end of their run without feeling afraid.”
