The Mop Fair returns to Evesham on Thursday. We’ll therefore have no open mic on Thursday, and no live music on Friday and Sunday. We’ll also be closing early — 9:30pm Thursday–Saturday, and 7:00pm on Sunday.
We’ve tried our best in previous years, but the noise of the rides and treatment of our toilets as public use (no additional toilet facilities are provided by the Fair organisers) interfere too much for it to be enjoyable for either the musicians or the audience.
With the Fair’s extension to Sunday, which historically has been a busy afternoon when our regulars return to the pub after the Fair, it’s simply not worth trying to put on music, or to stay open.
