Brought together in our pub, it is fitting that The Red Lion is the venue for the debut gig of duo The Jonettes. Jon and Helen are regulars at our jam, singer songwriter and open mic nights, so their songs will be familiar to many.
The Jonettes are a two piece folk rock band, crafting entirely original songs that echo with myth and mischief. ‘Jon’ & ‘Ettes’ weave acoustic guitar with the pulse of the bodhrán and other percussion, into something raw, rhythmic and playful.
‘Jon’ and ‘Ettes’ met in the Red Lion Evesham, where Jon runs the songwriter night and were drawn together by a love of shoes, folklore and laughter, which is echoed in their songs. Cutting their teeth at open mics The Jonettes are now dipping their toes into the festival and gigging scene.
